Dani Stevenson, the R&B powerhouse from Atlanta, has graced us with a brand new track titled “Love Me.” It’s no surprise that Dani, who has worked with artists like Nelly, Pharell, and Missy Elliot as a backing vocalist, does not disappoint on this latest track. Her silky alto voice takes us on a journey of realization and empowerment after she was done wrong by a significant other.
She tells us the story of a breakup, a relatable pain we’ve all been through. The emotion and realization that is depicted through her passionate and powerful vocals displays her realization of what she truly deserves in a relationship. “You don’t know how to love me,” is repeated and emphasized in the chorus, calling out to all those who relate as a symbol of strength and recognition of the pain of mistreatment by those you love.
This is only the second release from Dani in the past 10 years, and she is showing no reservations with “Love Me.” Truly a R&B/Pop hit, relatable to the masses and extremely catchy, there’s no telling what Dani could hit us with next. Look for “Love Me,” out now, and we can’t wait to hear what else Dani has in store!
